Oconaluftee Indian Village

Oconaluftee Village SignOconaluftee Indian Village is an authentic replica of a 1760 Cherokee town where visitors can watch demonstrations of traditional arts such as basket weaving, wood carving, finger weaving, pottery, weapon making, and cooking.

There are also live traditional dances and village storytellers who share histories and beliefs that have been handed down from generation to generation, introducing outsiders to the rich and colorful heritage of the Cherokee People.

The Village is open daily, except Sundays, May 1 thru November 8.

Monday – Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm.

Guided Tours every 15 minutes except between 11:30 am – 12:30 pm & 2:30 pm – 3:30 pm. The last tour starts at 4 pm. Self-guided video tours will be available in the month of April; and from November 9-20.
